The Narrows Restaurant proudly participates in The Oyster Recovery Partnership Shell Recycling Program.The program began with the local oyster shucking community, who hold long family legacies of caring deeply about the Chesapeake Bay. They were frustrated watching oyster shells thrown away at area events. Wanting to do something about it they created The Oyster Recovery Partnership Shell Recycling Program.
In 2013 The Narrows Restaurant donated 164 bushels of oyster shells to the Oyster Recovery Partnership thru their Shell Recycling Alliance Program. This will plant 821,644 oysters in the Chesapeake Bay!
